N2  - In Finland'seducation system, the main factor of success is teachers. Researches proved thatteachers are an important factor in students’ success. Based on these research,Finland accomplished rooted changes in their education system and aims toprepare highly qualified teachers. They adopted a new educational system whichis based on practice and which encourages students to take responsibility, haveself-confidence. In this study, we present the obersvational notes taken byfour teachers who visited Finland. The obtained data were compared with thecurrent educational system in Turkey and evaluated. Teaching / learning havebeen practiced in four different learning environment in Finland. These areclassrooms, workshops, labratories and out-of-schoo settings. "Real lifegoes beyond classroom walls. Classroom, workshop and laboratory provide alimited learning environment, while out-of-school environment offers manyopportunities for students," says Finnish educators.
