It’s influence on Muslimsdaily lives is very large. In this article, we preferred to study the hadithsabout Prophet Muhammad’s urinating standing up or sitting down. The comments onthis group of hadiths affect Muslim men’s daily lives. According to our study thereare three stories on Prophet Muhammad in primary hadith books. Hadiths abouthim urinating standing up, hadiths about him never urinating standing up afterhe became a prophet and hadiths about him forbidding urinating standing up. Inclassical hadith explanations, there is a connection between these hadiths andcleanliness. However, nowadays some scholiasts associated these hadith storieswith health by misinterpreting. Some health profession and news sources,despite not being correct medically, disseminated the information thaturinating standing up is harmful on men’s health.
