N2  - This research was conducted to evaluate thecommunication skills of the camp leaders who served in youth camps of theMinistry of Youth and Sports. The sample of this descriptive study consisted of400 active camp leaders. Personal Information Form, and the CommunicationSkills Assessment Scale (CSAS) developed by Korkut (1996) was used for datacollection. In our study, the Cronbach's alpha value of the items was found tobe 0.93. In data analysis, independent group t-test and ANOVA were used. Themean CSAS score of the camp leaders was 106.0±12.5, indicating good level ofcommunication skills. The CSAS scores of the camp leaders increase with theincreased working time in a youth camp, and this difference was significant(p<0.05). The communication skills of the youth camp leaders were alsoanalyzed according to their duties in the youth camps, and the scores of theprogram managers were found to be the highest. There was no difference incommunication skills in terms of age groups, gender, marital status, and beingundergraduate or graduate (p>0.05).
