Since the object of this study was to test spiral columns designed according to the two equations given in the Turkish [1] and American Concrete Institute’s Codes [2] and to report the results comprehensively, six spiral column specimens were tested under combined bending and axial load [3, 4]. The variable parameters used in this study were the the ratio of the gross concrete area to the confined core area and the yield strength of the spiral steel. Experimental Moment-Curvature graphs and test results of the columns designed according to the current Code equations, based on the axially loaded column behavior, were investigated, and additionally compared with the graphs obtained from the analytical studies. </p>}, number={2}, publisher={Kirikkale University}
