N2  - This studywas carried out in order to determine hawthorn genotypes with superior valuesin terms of plant characteristics and fruit quality from hawthorn populationnaturally grown in the province of Akçadağ and Hekimhan. The selection studyrevealed that 40 hawthorn types were identified as hopeful genotypes. The fruitweight of the hawthorn genotypes was found to be vary from 0.98g and 6.76g, theweight of core 0.22 to 0.97g. The study resulted that the fruit color of thegenotypes are yellow, orange or red while its shape is generally round.
