In order to obtain cylindrical samples within10 mm diameter and 20 mm length iron powder were compacted at 800 MPa pressurein a single action press. Then compacted powder metal parts were sintered at1100 °C temperature for two hours in an atmosphere controlled tube furnace.After the sintering process, micro structural analysis, hardness and densitymeasurements of powder metal parts were performed. After, the characterization of samples drysliding wear tests were performed according to ASTM-G55-05 by using TRIBOMETERT10/20 pin-on-disk wear device. Wear tests werecarried out at different loads (10-15-20 N), with the other test parameters beingconstant, to investigate the wear behavior of powder metal parts in relation toload. The test results showed that the increasing ofload resulted in increase of wear values.
