N2  - Since Solvay plants are more costly than plants operating from natural deposits, a steady increase in the production of natural soda is observed in the market. Recently, the utilization of solution mining techniques in natural soda deposits have gained considerable importance and better results are obtained compared to classical mining methods. The possibilities of underground and solution mining methods have been considered by Etibank as two alternative projects for the purpose of recovering soda from Beypazari trona deposits. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the methods of production of sodium carbonate from natural sources
