AB  - Buçalışmada, Peyzaj ve Süs Bitkileri Programı’nda öğrenim gören öğrencilerintercih nedenlerine göre mesleğe bakışlarının araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.Çalışma, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi, Fethiye Ali Sıtkı Mefharet KoçmanMeslek Yüksekokulu’nda 2012-2013, 2013-2014 ve 2014-2015 eğitim-öğretimdönemlerinde Peyzaj ve Süs Bitkileri Programı’nda öğrenim gören öğrencilereanket uygulaması ile yapılmıştır. 2012-2015 yılları arasında programa kayıtlıöğrenci sayısı 113 kişidir ve anket çalışması 90 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır.Anket, bireylerin demografik özellikleri ve mesleğe bakışlarını ölçmek üzere 11sorudan oluşmaktadır. Ankete katılan 90 öğrencinin sorulara verdiği cevaplarfrekans, yüzde, çapraz tablolar ve aritmetik ortalama kullanılarakdeğerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda bireylerin vermiş oldukları cevaplarınağırlıklı ortalaması değerlendirildiğinde mesleğe bakış açılarının olumluolduğu tespit edilmiştir. Mesleğe bakış açısı en olumlu olan öğrencilerin,mesleği tercih ederken tercih etmiş oldukları mesleği ideali olarak görenöğrenciler olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonrasında ise öğrencilerin tercih nedenlerinegöre mesleğe bakış açıları ailesinin isteği üzerine tercih edenler ve iş bulmakolaylığı olduğunu düşünenler şeklinde sıralanmaktadır.

N2  - In this study, thepurpose was to investigate the viewpoints of the students studying at theLandscape and Ornamental Plants Department on their profession according totheir reasons for preferences. The study was conducted in Muğla Sıtkı KoçmanUniversity, Fethiye Ali Sıtkı Mefharet Koçman Vocational High School in2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 Academic Years by applying questionnaires tothe students studying at Landscape and Ornamental Plants Department. The numberof the students registered in this program between 2012-2015 was 113, and thequestionnaire was applied to 90 students. The Questionnaire consisted of 11questions to determine the demographical properties and the viewpoints of thestudents. The answers of 90 students who participated in the questionnaire wasassessed with frequency, percentage, cross tables and arithmetic averagevalues. At the end of the study, when the weighted averages of the responseswere assessed, it was observed that the viewpoints of the students on theirprofessions were positive. It was determined that the students with the mostpositive viewpoints were the ones who considered their professions as theirideal profession. The other students were those who preferred their departmentupon the desire of their families, those who thought that it was easy to find ajob after graduating from this department, those who were graduated fromVocational High Schools and wanted to continue an upper level in theirprofession, those who did not receive adequate points to prefer anundergraduate program, those who wanted to receive undergraduate education bytaking the Transition Exam after graduating from their departments, and thosewho thought that they could be placed in this department according to theirscores received from Higher Education Entry Exam.
