N2  - Interaction of parallel tunnels or roadways is one of the complex problems encoun­tered in the design of underground openings. In this study, some practical approaches which can be useful for the designers have been presented and a special consideration has been given to the distribution of induced stresses around parallel openings. Also, various aspects of this special problem have been investigated by using the available information in the related literature
