Dergisi PB - Balıkesir University WT - DergiPark SN - 1301-7985 SP - 7 EP - 15 VL - 19 IS - 3 KW - Eu(III) kompleksi KW - kristal yapı KW - anten etkisi N2 - In this study, thenew Eu(III) complex was hydrothermallysynthesized using oxygen donor ligand and characterized by single crystal X-raydiffraction, elemental analysis, solid UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR andphotoluminescence properties.  Thecrystal structure analysis of complex [C7H9EuO9S](1) indicates that the centrallanthanide ions are coordinated by eight oxygen atoms in which six oxygen atoms from four ssa- anionic ligands and two oxygen atoms from acoordinated water molecules.  Complex 1bridged by oxygen atoms from carboxyl and sulfonate groups of the ssa-ligands are formed in 1D chains.  The 1Dchains are linked together with ligand ssa- to form a 2D wave-likelayers.  All these wave-like layers arefurther interlinked via strong hydrogen bonding interaction resulting in 3Darchitecture.  Additionally, solid statephotoluminescence properties of complex 1have been investigated in room temperature. The indirect energy transfer mechanism via an Antenna effect in complex 1 has been investigated in detail.
