This is discussed in the theory of Orientalism and also partly explained in the history of Europe and Turkish invasions. The recent history of other aspects adds that, Islam phobia is increasingly a problem for the Christian population as well as for the perceived course of migration movements of Islamic minority.Reasons for these problems are: A one-sided media coverage that mainly shows Islam and the problems of violence and threat to Western society, and a one-sided presentation of the culture of Islam as outdated, backward-reactionary, and incompatible with the ideals of freedom the Western world holds. From this one-sided representation results in a series of stereotypes that shape the image of Islam in the minds of Europeans hence displacing incredible diversity of bright reality of Muslims as an important enrichment of society. A significant contribution to the distorted image of Islam and the growing hostility towards this culture since the 1990s is the increasing influence of the right-wing parties in Europe, like the BZÖ and FPÖ influence in Austria through rabble-rousing campaigns - the process of negative rapprochement of cultures . The solution lies in the interplay of politics, advocacy groups and a dedicated public who must seek to promote the feared Europeanisation of Islam instead of the Islamisation of Europe.
