Kickxia spuriawas collected from Bingol, Turkey. Aerial parts ofthe plant were boiled in water for 2 h then extracted with ethyl acetate. Afterevaporation of the solvent by rotary evaporator, the extract was subjected tocolumn chromatography to yield the compound identified as 6,7-dimethoxy-5-hydroxyflavone byspectroscopic method including 1D-, 2D-NMR, LC-TOF/MS. Antiproliferativeactivity of isolated compound was tested against HeLa (human cervix carcinoma)cell lines by xCELLigence assay, and found out that the compound exhibitedexcellent activity.
