N2  - Availablewater resources are decreasing due to the rapidly increasing demand of waterresources usage along with global warming, increasing population, andindustrialization. It has been observed that the decrease of the waterresources both in quantity and quality in the world as well as in Turkey.Despite being in better condition than in general perspective of Turkey, Nigde,has the water quality and water loss problems. Legal and administrativeauthorities as well as the unconscious consumers and the services providerscause the reasons of these problems. Considering experienced climate change,reduction in resources and the quality problem in water, public sensitivityagainst the decreased water resources, habits of water usage, application ofwater saving patterns, recommended solutions, public awareness and knowledgewere evaluated in this survey. The survey, which is one of public participationmechanisms, is important in terms of measuring the public ideas against thewater resources management problems, recommended solutions, increasingawareness, providing training, and giving an opportunity to compare with thelater study in this area.
