Following the coloured latex injection, the arteries in thoracal region were indicated by dissection. Anatomy of the aortic arch and its associated branches were examined in detailed manner. It was observed that firstly brachiocephalic trunk and after that left subclavian artery arised from the aortic arch. Except that the aortic arch gave rise to three vessels unconnected to each other in one rabbit. Following the arising from aortic arch it was indicated that the left subclavian artery leaved the thoracic cavity from cranial thoracic aperture. Brachiocephalic trunk gave rise to left common carotid artery firstly and after that the right subclavian artery and the right common carotid artery branched respectively. It was observed that the right and the left subclavian arteries gave rise to the costocervical trunk, the deep cervical artery, the internal thoracic artery, the vertebral artery and the superficial cervical artery. It was considered that the macroanatomic findings and the variations detected in this research will be efficient for the researchers that are planning to build up an animal model and to do researches on the circulatory system of the laboratory animals UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/vetheder/issue//379456 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/download/article-file/405259 ER -
