One of these elements is the “flags” that display the symbol of nations and societies in different colors and figures.In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the human-animal relationship’s rebound on flags which are the symbol of independence of a country.In this research, 193 flags of countries which are recognized by United Nations in the international level were investigated. 23 country flags which include animal figure constituted the origin of this study. In this flags have a total of 19 different animal figures. The animals on the country flags were classified into different categories and their meaning in different cultures were evaluated.Although the meaning loaded on the animals which are figurated on flags may change in different cultures, it was pointed out that some animals symbolize the same meanings and can be said that the meaning of the animals that was attributed them by people has still continue}, number={2}, publisher={Veteriner Hekimler Derneği}
