AB  - Bu çalışma küreselleşmenin Türkiye’deki ekonomik büyümeye olan etkisini “ticarette dışa açıklık” (TDA) ve “doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları” (DYSY) üzerinden 1961-2013 döneminde yıllık düzeyde zaman serisi verileri kullanarak incelemektedir. Öncelikle, küresel ekonomiye entegrasyon süreçlerinde ticari dışa açılık ve uygulanan ekonomi politikalarının dereceleri ile niteliği belirlenmiştir. Sonrasında kurulan ekonomik modelde, ticari dışa açıklığın kısa ve uzun dönemlerde ekonomik büyümeyi ve yatırım düzeylerini pozitif olarak etkilediği bulunmuştur. Bu analizlere ek olarak, Türkiye için yürütülen Granger nedensellik testleri neticesinde ticarette dışa açıklıkta bir değişimin uzun dönemli bir ekonomik büyüme hızını fiziksel sermayedeki artış üzerinden dönemler itibari ile değişen seviyelerde etkilediği ortaya konulmuştur. Diğer taraftan, uygulanan ekonomi politikalarının ticari dışa açıklığı ve ekonomik büyümeyi pozitif ve anlamlı olarak etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bulgular, Türkiye’nin küreselleşme sürecinin başarılı bir aktörü olduğunu ancak daha yapması gerekenler olduğunu söylemektedir.

N2  - This study surveys the effects of globalization to the economic growth in Turkey in the period 1961-2013 by the channels of the “trade openness” (OPENNESS) and “foreign direct investments” (FDIs) by using annual time series data. At the beginning, the trade openness and the applied economy policies' level with properties are determined in the duration of integrating to the global economy. After, it is found with setting up the economic model that, the trade openness is positively affecting the economic growth and the investment level in the short and long run terms. On the other hand, the results of the applied economy policies are affecting the trade openness and economic growth are significantly and positively. In addition to those analyses, as a result of Granger causality tests that are conducted for Turkey, the change in the trade openness affects economic growth rate with changing levels in periodic terms by physical capital increase, is shown. Those findings tell that Turkey is a successful actor of globalization duration but she has some additional things to do.
