N2  - In this research, the substance and general structure of apple cold stores in Karaman, one of the city that has the biggest potential of apple production was examined. In this context; a survey study including 25 questions encloses subjects such as physical structure, species that are stored, working capacity, structure of company, structure of personnel, storage period, success in storage, the usage of postharvest treatments and joint units was done. The results were investigated particularly; besides working systems were assessed. Suggestions were submitted for prolonging the storage period with keeping the quality for this crop that is so important for the region with assessing the working systems of cold stores in the region. Furthermore; the problems of cold stores in the region were considered thus the suggestions of current solutions were offered
