N2  - In this paper, the developments in apple production quantity, productivity, area of cultivation and the importance of apple in foreign trade in the world were examined. Turkey’s role in the world’s and European apple production sector was discussed.In this study the most important countries in the world at production quantity, in import and export were introduced. So, the position of Turkey at apple production, productivity, production area, quantities of import and export was deliberated and suggestions were discussed about apple cultivation development in Turkey
