The low yield capacity of interspecific rapeseed (B. napus L.) forms first hindered the use of these forms in yield breeding. However the discovery that interspecific rapeseed (B. napus L.) forms represent a new gene pool opened the opportunity to use these forms in hybrid breeding. The need of broadening genetic diversity in canola rapeseed (Brassica napus) breeding programs seems to be the general consensus among canola breeders and researchers. Diversity analysis by the use of molecular markers has identified several gene pools which can be used for the improvement of this crop. İn an area where very important possibilities and tools are present for molecular biology and plant breeding research about the creation of new rapeseed (B. napus L.) forms using interspecific hybridisations shows us that this method has not lost any value about its importance. The issue use of interspecific rapeseed (B. napus L.) forms in hybrid breeding will be discussed in detail UR - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/tabad/issue//385296 L1 - https://dergipark.org.tr/en/download/article-file/413039 ER -
