Durum wheat is the most important for grain based industry in terms of quality. In this sence landraces are important genetic resources having multiple super traits and recently these genotypes have used in the breeding programmes. In this study, including 5 varieties, 5 landraces and 5 lines total 15 durum wheat genotypes evaluated primarily grain yield and vitreousness rate, test weight, thousand kernel weight, protein content and semolina colour. The research was performed according to Randomized Blocks Trial Desing with 2 replications in the Diyarbakır and Kızıltepe locations in the 2011-2012 growing season. As a result of, it was seen that landraces are inferior than varieties in terms of grain yield, test weight, and thousand kernel weight but they are superior than varieties and lines in terms of vitreousness, protein content and semolina color. Consequently durum wheat landraces are very important germplasm for quality in the breeding programme}, number={2}, publisher={Anatolia Bilim Akademisi}
