Ali and Bahtiyarca, Yılmaz}, keywords={Quails, organic Zn, performance, bone, ash}, abstract={An experiment was conducted to establish the effect of organic zinc (Zn) sources on the performance and bone mineralization in young Japanese quails. In the experiment, basal diet with low in Zn based on corn-soybean meal was supplemented with 0, 40, 80 and 120 mgkg-1 added Zn as Zn acetate (ZnAs), Zn lysine (ZnL), Zn methionine (ZnM), Zn bioplex (ZnBp) and Zn avila (ZnAv). In the experiment, which lasted for three weeks, one-day-old, unsexed, a total of 800 Japanese quails and total 16 diets (basal diet plus 15 diets consisting of five Zn sources x 3 zinc levels) were used. No experimental diets (interactions) and dietary Zn levels significantly affected the performance values, bone (tibia) ash and Zn content of the quails. Dietary Zn sources as the main factor had a significant effect on cumulative feed consumption and feed conversion ratio (feed/body weight gain) in 0 to 3 weeks and Zn content of bone (P<0.01)}, number={1}, publisher={Anatolia Bilim Akademisi}
