In the solution of thecomposite  beam, plane piecewise solidcontinua model and finite element method is used. The governing equations ofthe problems are obtained by using the Hamilton procedure. With the dimensionsof the bi-material beam are assumed as plane model, the plane stress problem isimplemented. In the study, the effects of the different material constantratios and distributions on the free and forced vibration responses areinvestigated. CR - [1] Doyle, J.
