N2  - It was the “Tavas” newspaper which was published in Tavas for the first time. The publication of newspapers, which were “Tavas News” in 1970, “Tavas Peace” in 1975, “Tavas Citizen” and “New Tavas” in 1975, demonstrates the increase in the activities of press. Other newspapers, published in Tavas, were Pamukkale” and “Tavas Albayrak” in 1989, “Kızılcabölük” in1996 “Yarangüme” in 1998. The Newspapers in Tavas were published with letterpress printing and typesetting until 2000. At the beginning of 2000s offset publication has prevailed. In the process of time, offset publication, which started as black and white, became somewhat colorful. The publication of newspaper did the duty of making people aware of all kinds of news, information and thought regarding Tavas. Apart from newspapers, journals and a bulletin were published in Tavas. Moreover, online journalism was performed. There have been 11 newspapers, 3 journals, 1 bulletin and 7 online newspapers in Tavas
