N2  - The aim of this study is to examine factors affecting broiler meat prices in Turkey from 1990 to 2004 years, when especially inflation was high and economic crisis occured. According to current prices, the prices of broiler meat have increased 326 times; feed 598 times; chick 523 times. According to estimated fixed prices, although the prices of decreased as 68% of broiler meat, feed and chick prices have decreased as 24% and 34% in same period. There is almost no importing of broiler meat, however the prices have been affected badly due to feed and chick material exporting. Especially economic crises in 1994 and 2001 years had an effect on the rise in the input costs which had also an effect on the rise in broiler meat prices.
