Eighty patients were included into the study. The prevalence of HT was 64 % and 70% by clinical and ABPM measurements, respectively (p=0.3). The mean value of BP was 143/89 mm Hg with clinical assessment and mean day-time ABPM was 143/90 mm Hg. The ratio of “uncontrolled HT” defined as day-time ABPM measurement ≥ 135/85 mm Hg or as clinical measurement ≥ 140/90 mm Hg, was 80 % and 89 %, respectively (p=0.12). Patients with “uncontrolled-HT” were on more antihypertensives than that on patients with “controlled-BP” (0. 4 ± 0.6 vs 1.0 ± 0.8, p=0.0025). Patients with “uncontrolled-HT” had higher inferior vena cava index compared to “controlled-BP” group (8.9 ± 2.3 mm/m2 vs 9.4 ± 2.8 m/m2; p}, number={1}, publisher={Bursa Uludağ University}
