N2  - Microarray technology is a method which uses a slide made of glass, plastic or silicon. Structures like cDNA, protein etc are spotted onto this slide. Microarray is divided into two groups as DNA microarray and protein microarray according to the variety of the spotted structure. This method that is accepted as a high throughput method provide large amount of data. For example, human genome can be analyzed with only one examination via DNA microarray. Because of huge amount of data, microarray technology needs a powerful bioinformatic support and advanced statistical methods. Nowadays, despite some limitation of microarray that cause some difficulties, in the near future, it will become an indispensable and invaluable method. The purpose of this rewiev is to draw attention to this developing method.
