Survival}, abstract={In this study, we aimed to determine the borderline ovarian tumors cases that had been treated in our clinic between 2008-2012 retrospective-ly, according to clinical features, treatment methods. Thirty one cases were included. Median age was 40 (18-86). Most of the patients were premenopausal (74,2%, n=23). Median tumor size was 10,5 (3-40) cm and 70,9% (n=22) of the patients had serous histologic type. Median tumor size of serous and mucinous tumors were 9 (3-30) cm, 20 (5-40) cm, respectively. Tumor markers were elevated in 46,4 % (n=13) of the patients before the surgery. Twenty-seven patients had frozen section (87%) during surgery. Accuracy rate of the frozen section was 80,7 %(21/26). Whith increasing age ( ≥40 years) 77,8 % of the patients were treated with total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral sal-pingooferectomy (n=13). Borderline tumors have perfect prognosis and most of the cases are premenopausal. Fertiliy sparing surgery with frozen section might be chosen in young patients with fertility desire.}, number={1}, publisher={Bursa Uludağ University}
