The most devastating thought/event about their disease was the anxiety of inability of being and working as they used to (%50) and the most challenging factor in the process of compliance with dialysis, was the treatment related difficulties (52%). The most negative impact of the disease was the “irreversible change in the physical functioning” (54%). The method of coping with the disease was “spiritual belief” for 50% of the patients. 78 % of the patients stated that they were supported by their families and 31% of the patients wanted to have a kidney transplant. Social support factors should be assessed and patients’ awareness about these factors should be raised and for this purpose, they should be provided with consulting and psychoediucational services. Furthermore, it is recommended to encourage patients to express their feelings.}, number={2}, publisher={Bursa Uludağ University}
