Involvement of left anterior descending artery (LAD) affects the mortality and morbidity seriously. In this study we aimed to see the effect of risk factors on LAD involvement. This study includes 100 patients who has been undergone elective coronary angiography between January 2010 and March 2011. Results of coronary angiography and risk factors were recorded by examining the files of patients retrospectively. It was detected that prevalance of hypertension and obesity was significantly different between two groups. The prevalance of hypertension and obesity were significantly higher in the LAD involvement group compared to Cx and RCA involvement group (consecutively p value: 0,015 <0,001). As a result, presence of risk factors give valuable knowledge about the presence and prognosis of coronary artery disease; but the relationship between risk factors and vessel involvement is not clear. This study has showed that hypertension and obesity is more common in patients with LAD involvement.}, number={3}, publisher={Bursa Uludağ University}
