N2  - There were three world congress related to accounting in the World in 2006. These are the 11thWorld Congress of Accounting Historians that was held in July in Nantes, France; the 10th World Congress of Accounting Educators and the 17th World Congress of Accountants that were held in November in Istanbul. Not only the participation to these congresses was lesser than expected, but also the amount of the participants from developed Western Countries was low. However, the number of the participants from developing countries increased in contrary. The opportunities of this situation, which may be seen as a consequence of the general welfare throughout the World, the development of the communication and transportation and an increase of the incomes of Middle East, Asia, some African Countries thanks to the energy incomes and similar developments, to create new balances in the congress culture in the world should be stressed on
