When taken into account the fact that animal health directlyaffects human health and animal products are unquestionably required for humannutrition, it is concluded that human health depends on animal health. In thiscontext, echinococcosis, threating health in both animals and humans andcausing an important economic losses, is known to be the most importantzoonotic helminth infection and has a major health and economic impact indeveloping countries. For these reasons, in this report context, conciseinformation was given about present condition, problems, actions to be takenand solution proposals concerningechinococcosis in Turkey.
