N2  - There are considerable developments in chemical industry in all over the world. Given the present importance of the industry, in this study we conducted the financial failure analysis for the firms that operate in chemical industry and listed in Istanbul Stock Exchange (BIST) during the period 2010 and 2013 by employing Altman Z score. This score has been preferred as the dependent variable for the analysis and the impacts of certain financial ratios on the index were examined. The results of the logistic regression analysis indicated that net working capital in total assets, inventories and debt level have significant impact on the financial success.
