N2  - Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the results of the colposcopic  biopsies in patients with ASC-US conventional smear samples.  Material ve Method: In this retrospective study, 101 patients  whose pap smear preparations that were diagnosed as ASC-US and  had colposcopic biopsies between January 2008 and June 2009 at TCSB  Etlik Zubeyde Han›m Women's Health Teaching and Research Hospital  are identified from colposcopy unit reports.  Results: The histopathological analysis demonstrated normal findings  in 31 (30.7%) patiens and chronic cervicitis in 41 (40.6%) patients.  LGSIL was reported in 12 (11.9%) cases and HGSIL in 4 (4%) cases.  Discussion: Hence the histopathological results of ASC-US may  vary from normal to invasive cancer, carefully assesment is essential.
