The subject of theanalysis was students of biology education at 3rd semester Facultyof Education and Teaching, Syiah Kuala University. The method used in theresearch was experiment design of Pretest-Posttest Control-Group. Inquirylearning strategy was done by giving students structured task, question answersand discussion. Comprehension of the concept was measured by a written test, anobjective test which has been validated. Concept reconstruction ability ofstudents measured by comparing the ability of comprehension ability conceptbefore and after lecture. Comprehension concept data obtained was then analyzedusing normalization of gain calculation method. To compare comprehensionability and concept reconstruction between groups of student which were equippedwith inquiry learning and control groups, they were tested with IndependentSample t-Test. The research finding shown that there was significantimprovement toward concept comprehend of students equipped with inquirylearning compare to students not with inquiry learning. Concept reconstructionability of students with inquiry learning was higher (62%) compare to studentsnot with inquiry learning.
