Anahtar Sözcükler: Obstrüktif uyku apnesi; Gebelik; ObeziteABSTRACTThe prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing in pregnancy is ever increasing. The physiologicand hormonal changes due to pregnancy could lead to a predisposition for apneic episodesduring sleep. Because of the increased prevalance of obesity in pregnant women, the prevalenceof obesity-related comorbid conditions complicating pregnancy is also increasing. Obstructivesleep apnea (OSA) is one of these conditions and characterized by apnea during sleep withoutany effort. These apnea episodes and upper airway obstruction lead to hypoxia and maternaland fetal complications. The diagnosis and management of OSA are similar in pregnant andnonpregnant women. The data addresseed OSA in pregnant women come from case studies, case series, small cohort studies, and a few small longitudinal studies. Keywords: Obstructive sleep apnea; Pregnancy; Obesity KW - GEBELİKTE OBSTRÜKTİF UYKU APNESİ Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Pregnancy CR - 1.
