It is of vital importance to ensure and monitor suitable climaticconditions for various controlled agricultural structures and productionsystems such as greenhouses. To this aim, most data monitoring systems cannotbe efficiently used due to high cost and insufficient technical knowledge. Itis possible to design low-cost and scalable monitoring, control and dataacquisition systems via open source hardware in order to monitor climatic datafor agricultural practices in small enterprises and rural areas. In this study,a low-cost system designed via open source hardware was tested under realconditions. Temperature and relative humidity were measured via the sensors inthe system and sent to a data server through a wireless network. In addition,collected data was compared to reference devices for statistical analysis. Theresults suggest that these low-cost systems, which are designed via open sourcehardware, can be used as a data collection and decision support system byagricultural enterprises. Uygun iklimkoşullarının sağlanması ve bu koşulların takip edilmesi özellikle kontrollüüretim yapıları olan seralar başta olmak üzere birçok tarımsal yapılarda veüretim sistemlerinde hayati önem arz etmektedir. Bu amaçla kullanılan birçokveri izleme sistemi, yüksek maliyet ve yeterli teknik bilgi olmadığından yaygınbir şekilde kullanılamamaktadır. Özellikle küçük işletmelerde ve kırsalbölgelerde, tarımsal faaliyetler için hayati öneme sahip iklim verilerininizlenmesi amacıyla, açık kaynak donanımlar ile düşük maliyetli veölçeklenebilir izleme, kontrol ve veri toplama sistemleri tasarlanması mümkünolabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada açık kaynak donanımlarla düşük maliyetletasarlanan sistem, gerçek koşullarda test edilmiştir. Tasarlanan bu sistemdesıcaklık ve oransal nem değerleri sensörler ile ölçülerek kablosuz bir ağüzerinden veri sunucusuna aktarılmıştır. Ayrıca bu veriler referans cihazlarlakarşılaştırılarak istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilensonuçlar, açık kaynak donanımlar ile tasarlanan düşük maliyetli bu türsistemlerin tarımsal işletmelerde veri toplama-izleme ve karar destek sistemiolarak kullanılabileceği göstermiştir.
