The diagnosis and management of Chromobacterium infection is always challenging due to drugs resistance and relapse nature of the organism, resulting high mortality. We reported a case of 33-year old man, admitted with a history of sharp injury at patellar region of left leg during tree cutting. C. violaceum was isolated from post-surgical wound pus. The patient was successfully treated with combination antibiotic therapy. Awareness related C. violaceum infection especially in tropical and subtropical regions may be helpful to fruitful outcome. J Microbiol Infect Dis 2018; 8(2):76-79
}, number={02}
