AB  - Yayımlanan ulusal ve uluslararası raporların ve bağımsız araştırmaların gösterdiğiüzere, yaşlı nüfusun toplam nüfus içindeki oranı hızla artmakta ve ortalamayaşam süresi hemen her ülkede uzamaktadır. Verilere dayanan bu öngörüler,gerontoloji disiplininin önemini arttırmıştır. Gerontoloji lisans eğitimindeönemli bir yer tutan istatistik ve veri analizi öğretiminin kalitesininarttırılması adına, veri araştırmaları üzerinden istatistik eğitimi metodusunulmuştur. Bu makale, veri araştırmaları üzerinden istatistik öğretimi adıverilen bir metodun, gerontoloji lisans eğitimi sırasında kullanılmasını vegerontoloji araştırmalarında kullanılmasını önermektedir.
