AB  - Türkiye sinemasektörü, son 10 yılda artan film sayısıve seyirci sayısı ile dikkat çekmektedir. Bu durum doğal olarak sinema filmi hâsılatlarınayansımaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu sektörün ekonomiyi etkileyebilecek düzeyde büyükbir piyasa olup olmadığı sorusu gündeme gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’desinema filmi hâsılatlarının ekonomik büyümeyi ne ölçüde etkilediğiaraştırılmıştır. Dickey Fuller (Augmented Dickey Fuller-ADF) ve Philips-Perron(PP) birim kök testleri ve Toda- Yamamoto Nedensellik analizlerinin yapıldığıçalışmamızda, Reel Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hâsıla ile toplam yerli ve yabancı film hâsılatlarıverileri kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan veriler Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankasıve Box Office Türkiye web sitelerinden temin edilmiştir. Yapılan analizlerneticesinde Türkiye sinema filmi hâsılatları ile ekonomik büyüme arasında tekyönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir.

N2  - The Turkish Film Industry draws attention by especially the growing number of films and the growing number of spectators on the last ten years. This development in the last 10 years naturally affects the film gross box office revenues. Therefore, these developments have brought the question of how Gross Domestic Product of Turkey has been affected by Turkish Film Industry. In this study, we analyzed the effect of film industry revenues on economic growth in Turkey. Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) and Phillips-Perron (PP) unit root and Toda-Yamamoto Causality tests were performed by using Turkey Reel GDP, total domestic and foreign film box offices revenues. The data were obtained from the Central Bank of Turkey and Turkey Box Office website. According to the findings of the study, we identified a one-side causality relationship between film revenues and economic growth.
