New efforts have focused on to determine theDNA polymorphisms based on molecular markers and to link these polymorphismswith related phenotype recently. Especially, the relationships betweengenotypes and phenotypes are evaluated as Linkage Analysis and AssociationMapping Studies. On the basis of information, in this study, LinkageDisequilibrium (LD) analysis was also performed using 31 SSR markers for the 70populations. For the LD analysis, 23 of the 31 markers identified the physicaldistances on the 8 chromosomes of the alfalfa. Distances of 103 loci on 8chromosomes were determined based on Medicagotruncatula genome. A significant (p<0,0001) LD valuewas not observed in these populations for the evaluated markers. CR - Alm V, Fang C, Busso CS, Devos KM, Vollan K, Grieg Z, Rognli OA 2003.
