It can becategorized into 2 types: Fenestral and retrofenestral/cochlear,depending on the topography of the lesions. According to theinvolvement of disease different symptoms might be seen such asconductive, sensorineural, or mixt type hearing loss. Altough thecertain diagnosis of disease is histopathologic investigation, highresolution computed tomography (HRCT) is the gold standard imagingmodality in the diagnosis of otosclerosis. In this case, Forty-oneyears old female patient who suffers from unilateral mixt typehearing loss in her right ear was presented. Although there was onlytraffic accident in the past there was no evidence of ossicledislocation and any disease that might cause conductive hearing losson HRCT imaging. Bilateral cochlear otosclerosis was observed onHRCT. Her right ear was thought to be affected by cochlearotosclerosis expanded to the lateral wall of the otic capsule thathad been caused a mixt type hearing loss in the right and asensorineural hearing loss in the left. We revealed incidentallyfenestral and cochlear type represented in continium in her rightear. It is important to perform radiologic investigation to clarifythe concomitant pathologies in hearing loss.
