High efficiency activated carbon (AC) with different chemical characteristic was prepared. It was established thatactivated carbon is obtained from carbonized olive stones in presence of argon in the temperature range from 700 to 800 °C and activated by ZnCl2and KOH. The characterization of the activated carbon samples was studied by SEM (scanning electron microscope) technique. KW - Activated carbon KW - olive stones KW - SEM KW - adsorptio CR - Akash B.
