AB  - Piyasa yoğunlaşması ile firma performansı arasındakiilişki endüstri iktisadının önemli tartışma konuları arasında yer almaktadır.Yoğunlaşma, sektördeki toplam üretiminin önemli bölümünün hangi ölçüde azsayıdaki firma tarafından sağladığına işaret eder. Bu çalışmada Gümüşhaneilinin en önemli üretim piyasası haline gelen pestil-köme sektörünün 2002-2017dönemi üretim verilerinden yola çıkarak yoğunlaşma endeksleri hesaplanmış veARDL modeli çerçevesinde söz konusu piyasanın yoğunlaşmasını belirleyenfaktörler analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulguların başında, 2002-2017dönemi boyunca sektörde yoğunlaşma genel olarak azalmakla birlikte, 2002-2007döneminde yüksek yoğunluk, 2007-2012 döneminde rekabetçi ve 2012-2017 dönemindeise tekrar yoğunlaşmanın arttığı gözlemlenmiştir. Hesaplanan RosenbulthEndeksinin söz konusu piyasa için yapılan analize en uygun yoğunlaşma endeksiolduğu, bu endekse bağlı olarak yapılan analiz çerçevesinde uzun dönemde yerelnüfusun ve fiyatların, kısa dönemde ise şehre gelen turist sayısınınyoğunlaşmayı arttırdığı yönünde bulgulara ulaşılmıştır.

N2  - Therelationship between market concentration and firm performance is one of themost important topics in industrial economics. In this study, the marketconcentration indexes of pestil-köme sector, which has become the mostimportant production market of Gümüşhane province, are calculated and thefactors determining the market concentration are analyzed within the frameworkof ARDL model based on the pestil-köme production data of 2002-2017 period. Themost important finding obtained from the study shows that the concentration inthe sector has decreased during the period of 2002-2017. When sub-periods areexamined, high density was observed in the market in the period of 2002-2007,the market was competitive in 2007-2012 and the concentration increased againin the period of 2012-2017. In addition, it is found that the calculatedRosenbulth Index is the most suitable concentration index in the marketconcentration analysis. As a result ofthis analysis, it is concluded that while local population and prices lead toincrease market concentration while in the short term the number of touriststrigger to increase market concentration.
