KW - Antibakteriyel etki KW - Stafilokok KW - Hypericum atomarium Boiss N2 - Hypericum atomarium Boiss. is a perennial herb in the Hypericum genus. In thisstudy antibacterial effect of methanol (MeOH), chloroform (CHCl3) and water (H2O) extract ofH. atomarium has been investigated against 19 clinical Staphylococcus spp. (S. aureus, S.hominis, S. haemolyticus, S. epidermidis). The antibacterial activity of plant extracts wasevaluated using agar well diffusion method. According to the results of this study H. atomariumextracts displayed strong antibacterial activity against all tested strain and the most antibacterialeffect was determined by chloroform extract with 20,7 mm zone diameter. The evaluation of allisolates ranged from 20,7-16 mm by chloroform extract. CR - E. Banin, D. Hughes, and O. P. Kuipers, “Bacterial Pathogens, Antibiotics and Antibiotic Resistance,” FEMS Microbiol.
