TY - JOUR T1 - Grafting of Cellulose: Synthesis and Characterization AU - Çankaya, Nevin PY - 2018 DA - November Y2 - 2018 JF - Journal of Physical Chemistry and Functional Materials PB - Niyazi BULUT WT - DergiPark SN - 2651-3080 SP - 49 EP - 55 VL - 1 IS - 2 LA - en AB - In this study, cellulosemethacrylate was firstly prepared by the reaction of methacryloyl chloride withprimary OH groups on raw cellulose. The graft copolymerization of cellulose wasmade with our own synthesized 2-(4-Methoxyphenylamino)-2-oxoethyl methacrylate(MPAEMA) monomer by method of free radical polymerization. Cellulose, cellulosemethacrylate and its graft copolymer (Cell.met-g-MPAEMA) were characterized by FT-IRspectra, elemental and thermal analysis.
