AB  - Sosyalçalışma bir bilim olarak kesin kabul görmüş olsa da ontolojik yapısı halatartışılmaktadır. Sosyal çalışma kendisini bu problemden kurtarabilmesi içindiğer sosyal bilimlerle olan etkileşimini daha fazla irdelemelidir. Sosyalçalışma kendisini eklektik bir bilim olarak tanımlamasına rağmen bilgitemelinde diğer disiplinler ile olan bağlantı noktalarını tam olarakçizememiştir. Sosyal çalışma ve diğer disiplinler arasındaki farklarıngenellikle uygulama noktasında olduğuna yönelik vurgu yapılmaktadır. Sosyal çalışmanınkendi bilimsel zeminini daha da sağlamlaştırabilmesi için mesleğin vedisiplinin ontolojisine daha eleştirel bir gözle bakmalıdır. Bu çalışma, sosyalçalışmanın meslekleşme ve bilimselleşme sürecinde, disiplinin ontolojisine vemesleğin temel değerlerine yönelik eleştirel bir deneme ortaya koymayaçalışacaktır.

N2  - Although social work is accepted as a science, its ontological structureis still open to discussion. Social work should scrutinize its interaction withother social sciences in order to get rid of this problem. Although social workdefines itself as an eclectic science, it has not been able to draw theconnection points with other disciplines on the basis of knowledge. It isemphasized that the differenc es between social work and other disciplines aregenerally at the point of application. Social work should have a more criticalview of the ontology of the profession and discipline in order to furtherstrengthen its scientific ground. This study will attempt to demonstrate acritical essay to the ontology of the discipline and to the basic values ofthe profession in the process of professionalization and scientificization ofsocial work.
