In the last recent years several research indicated that Algerianpropolis possess a large spectra of biological activities such asantibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and anticancer activities. Few studieson chemical composition of Algerian propolis indicate the presence of twopropolis type mainly poplar1 and Mediterranean type2,3with caffeate esters and flavonoids as main constituents of poplar type whileMediterranean type is rich on labdane and clerodane diterpes1.             The objective of the present studyis the determination of chemical composition of propolis sample collected fromjijel. Chemical investigation allowed the isolation of 12 Compounds. Theirstructures were identified on the basis of spectral data (1H-NMR and13C-NMR) and MS data and comparison with literature. All isolatedcompounds are flavonoids. Among the identified flavonoids pinocembrin,pinostrobin and galangin-3-methyl ether indicate that the studied propolis is apolpar type propolis.     KW - Propolis KW - H-NMR KW - C-NMR CR - 1.
