The trial was established in three different lettuce greenhouseswith 150 m2 in floor size using different plastic covering materialsbetween January and April. Hot air vent heaters were used for heating. The heaters were positioned 30 cm aboveground level. The heating was done between 08.00 p.m. and 05.00 a.m. Plantlevel and roof level as well as external temperature and relative humidity weremeasured with data loggers. These measurements were used to statisticallycalculate overall heat consumption coefficient based on wind speed. The resultsdemonstrate that thermal screens created a resistance against heat loss, thusreducing heat losses. The effect of thermal screens on heat loss depending onthe wind speed was also determined. It was found out that heat saving ratios ingreenhouses varied between 8% to 22% under very low wind speeds and between 17%- 36% under a wind speed of 4 m s-1. KW - greenhouse KW - greenhouse heating KW - overall heat consumption coefficient KW - thermal screen N2 - Bu çalışmada, seralarda ısı tasarrufu için kullanılanısı perdelerinin etkinliği ve toplam ısı tüketim katsayısı deneysel olarakaraştırılmıştır. Araştırma Ocak ve Nisan ayları arasında farklı plastik örtümalzemeleri ile kaplı 150 m2 taban alanı olan üç farklı marulserasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sera ısıtmasında sıcak hava üflemeli ısıtıcılarkullanmıştır. Isıtıcılar zemin seviyesinden 30 cm yukarıda konumlandırılmıştır.Isıtma 08.00-05.00 saatleri arasında yapılmıştır. Bitki seviyesi ve çatıseviyesinin yanı sıra dış sıcaklık ve bağıl nem değerleri, veri kaydedicilerile ölçülmüştür. Bu ölçümler, rüzgâr hızına dayalı toplam ısı tüketimkatsayısını istatistiksel olarak hesaplamak için kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, ısıperdelerinin ısı kaybına karşı bir direnç oluşturduğunu ve böylece ısıkayıplarını azalttığını göstermektedir. Aynı zamanda ısı perdelerinin, rüzgârhızına bağlı olarak ısı kaybına etkisi de belirlenmiştir. Seralarda ısıtasarrufu oranlarının çok düşük rüzgâr hızlarında %8 ile %22 arasında ve 4 m s-1rüzgâr hızında %17-36 arasında değiştiği hesaplanmıştır.
