The key to achieving a high‑quality wearablereality display system is to design a comfortable‑to‑wear, compact, lightweightsystem that can provide high resolution and high contrast. One potential methodfor achieving a compact and high‑resolution display system is through designinga hybrid refractive/diffractive lens. With this approach, a chromatically‑correctedoptical system can be implemented with a single‑element lens.
