AB  - Thefirst record of the rotundabaloghid mites in Sierra Leone ispresented here. A new species, Rotundabaloghia(Circobaloghia) leonensis sp. nov., is described based on twofemales and one male specimen. The new species differsfrom the other Afrotropical roundabaloghid mites in followingcharacter combination: the setae V7and V8 pilose, female genital shiedand the ventral shields are ornamented by irregular pits. This charactercombination is unknown within the African rotundabaloghids.
